5K Race

Jereme and I just ran our first 5K together. I beat my goal of 36 minutes with a 35:58 time. Jereme also beat his goal of 30 minutes and finished 29:12! We were also excited to have both my parents and sister Liz participate with us. It was a lot of fun and we hope to continue running. We were very impressed with the Utah Valley Marathon. It was organized so well and all the volunteers were awesome! Can't wait for the next race!

Well, here's my annual post. I can't believe how busy life can get raising a family! But here we are still surviving. Somehow we made it through 2009, which definitely wasn't our favorite year, but all things considered, life is good. Elaina is in dance now and Tate is starting to say words and climb all over the place. Jereme is about to graduate from SLCC with his Associate Degree and then finally officially be a U of U student. WAHOO!!!

One of our new year resolutions is to update our blog. So, here's to a new year with the newest addition to our family - baby Tate! At 3 months, he is really starting to show off his cheerful disposition and his amazing strength - pulling Mom's hair, lifting up his head, and kicking his blankets off. Elaina has
also grown up a lot these past few months and started potty training!

We are also proud of our UTAH UTES! The only team in the nation with the perfect season 13 - 0. The Sugar Bowl was exciting to watch. We wish we could have been there in New Orleans with all the fans. That game just proves, as well as the whole season, that the only team that deserves to be called #1 is UTAH! The Gators may have won the National Championship, but they are still #2 when it comes to winning games with their season loss to Ole Miss. The UTES are the only team with a perfect season and they deserve respect. GO UTES!

Elaina and the white alligator.

To celebrate the 4th, we went to Hogle Zoo and saw lots of animals. Elaina's favorite was the white alligator. Jereme enjoyed the Bird show and got some great pics of the American Bald Eagle and the flag. Laura enjoyed the elephants and was glad that she wouldn't have to be pregnant for 2 years like the mother elephants! Then we were surprised to find Jereme's brothers, Seth and Josh at the zoo too!!

Camping Trip

Only two more months to go until baby will be born. We have decided his first name will be Tate, and we are still working on a middle name.

We just went camping with some friends out at Utah Lake. Elaina loved roasting marshmallows with her Dad, but got some stuck in her hair. Thank goodness there was a bathroom facility nearby!
